As a physician, I prioritize healthcare education in my practice. I believe that having functional knowledge is essential for making informed decisions and taking actions that enhance our lives.

However, the skills of developing subtle awareness and learning effective touch are often overlooked in structured education. In this workshop, I aim to provide foundational knowledge for both laypeople and healthcare practitioners to refine their awareness, apply it in assisting others, and understand the crucial role touch plays in our connection to ourselves and the world.

Event Logistics

Please make sure to register above for the “Connecting through the Power of Touch” workshop.

The workshop will occur at the Maui Arts & Cultural Center (MACC) in the Alexa Higashi Meeting Room.

The course times are:

March 15, Friday—10 am to 3 pm (with a one-hour lunch break).
March 16, Saturday—10 am to 3 pm (with a one-hour lunch break).

Dr. Alex will start promptly at 10 am each day to make the most of the time available, so it’s a good idea to plan on arriving about 10-15 minutes before we begin to find your seat and get comfortable. Please wear comfortable clothes and bring a yoga mat, or massage table if you feel so inclined; water will be provided onsite.
